Set up and create your first farm and field in AgriDigital Onfarm.
Setting up your farms and fields will enable you to track every load back to the field, save you time with pre-populated information in your delivery, and allow you to accurately report on yield per field.
You can come back to farm settings anytime, to make necessary updates to your farm (see Set a new crop year or season for your farm, or Edit a farm or field).
To create a new farm and field:
- In the left navigation bar, click Settings and then My Farms.
- Click Add Farm.
![]() |
- In the screen that appears, fill-out the Grower Details, Farm Details, Farm Ownership (if applicable), and Field Details sections.
The details you enter here will be used when creating new deliveries from this farm or field.
-
Grower Details section
The Grower will default to your organization. This can be updated to any other Connection if required.
Select the applicable Crop Year/Season for the farm and field setup. If the crop year/season is not in the drop-down list, you can click New Crop Year to add your own (e.g., 2020 (Summer)).
-
Farm Details section
Enter the necessary Farm Name, Farm Type, Farm Size, and Units.
-
Farm Ownership section
Only required if you have a share farm or lease type farm. The ownership share can be specified at a farm level (using “All Commodities”) or an individual commodity level, specifying specific commodities.
Adding commodities to a farm
You can specify additional commodities to a farm by clicking Add Commodity in the Farm Ownership section. To remove an additional commodity row, click the corresponding Remove Commodity icon.
Adding suppliers to a farm
For each commodity row, you can specify additional owners or landlords with their percentage share by clicking the Add or Remove icons on the right. To add a new landlord to your account, you can do so through Connections.
-
Field Details section
Specify the fields under a farm, and their corresponding details.
Adding fields to a farm
You can specify additional fields in a farm by clicking Add Field. To remove an additional field row, click the corresponding Remove icon.
Tip If you are adding a fallow field, select Fallow as the field's commodity (see Mark a field as fallow).
Grazing field
If you're yet to decide whether you will graze or harvest a field, you can set up the field with the commodity and variety and simply not create any deliveries from that field. That way, if you decide to harvest, you can readilyselect the field in the Delivery form at the time of harvesting. This will also ensure your record keeping for each field is accurate year on year.
Adding commodities or adjusting ownership of a field
To add multiple commodities and varieties to a specific Field, or to adjust ownership at the field level, save the farm first (go to step 4 below), then refer to Add multiple commodities or varieties to a field.
- After completing the farm and field details, click Save.
