If you do not see the option for enabling biometrics login in the Waypath mobile app Settings screen, you can try the following:
- Check if your device is capable of fingerprint authentication or facial recognition.
Touch ID and Face ID are available on certain iPhone and iPad models (see Apple Support page).
Android Fingerprint is available to many devices. Due to the number of Android devices, a general way of checking your device is if it has a fingerprint sensor, either on the display or on the back or side of the device. - Check if you have enabled Touch ID, Face ID, or Android Fingerprint in your device settings.
In the Settings app, make sure you’ve registered any of the following:
- your fingerprints in Touch ID & Passcode (for iOS)
- your face in Face ID & Passcode (for iOS)
- your fingerprints in Security > Fingerprint Unlock (for Android)
If you haven’t already, you can refer to:

- the Android Support page (see Set up a fingerprint)
Once enabled, follow the steps in Login to the mobile app using your fingerprint or face.
If biometrics login was previously enabled and suddenly not working:
- Note that logging in to the Waypath app, including biometrics login, only works online at the moment. Before going out to an area with an unstable or unavailable internet connection, it is best to open the Waypath mobile app and make sure that you are logged-in.
- You may have deleted or reinstalled the Waypath app. You will need to re-enable biometric login from the Waypath app Settings screen by going to the More screen and then enable Toggle Touch ID/Face ID or Toggle Biometrics (see Login to the mobile app using your fingerprint or face).
- (For Android) You can double-check if the user profile you are using is the one used for setting up biometric login. From the top of the home screen, swipe down with 2 fingers. At the top right, tap the user icon and select the user you want to switch to.
